Last September 30 Bakersfield Lodge celebrated their 151st Anniversary at Kaiser Permanente Sports Village. About 100 family members and friends and their children enjoyed a day of picnic in the park. Lots of food and drinks brought by everyone to include a big “Lechon” (Roast Pig) were shared with delight. Adult and children enjoyed several games prepared by the ladies (Atengs) of the lodge. “Overwhelming joy and fun is the best description i can give” says WB Dario the lodge Secretary.”Hats off to all the fabulous ladies and families that supported the activities” according to our Past District Inspector WB Zaldy Damaso. Activities like this is very important not just for the officers and members of the lodge but to all our families and friends in the community. This is how we bond together as Brothers and Sisters. Our families needs to be included in our celebration because without them our lodge will not succeed. We need this type of activities besides doing conferrals and other lodge meetings. Most of all we need to have fun in this life! Together Brethren!
